Hearth & Bean

Coffee, poured slow.

We never rush the pour.

The corner where the block warms up.

Come sit by the hearth.

Open daily, downtown corner of 5th & Maple.

Hearth & Bean

A warm corner of the neighborhood, one slow pour at a time.

The Hearth

Our Story

Hearth & Bean opened on the corner of 5th and Maple with one idea: coffee should slow you down, not speed you up. Every cup is poured by hand, one at a time, the same way it's been done since the morning we first opened our doors.

We keep a quiet corner for the people who need to sit with a laptop for a while, and a loud one for the people who came to talk. Both are welcome all day.

"We built this place to be the one stop in your day where nobody's rushing you." Owner, Hearth & Bean

Press and hold to pour.

Good Questions

Before You Come By

Isn't specialty coffee expensive?

A little more than a gas station cup, yes. We pay fair prices for good beans and it shows in the cup. Most regulars tell us it's worth it.

Is it quiet enough to get work done?

Mornings hum a little. After 10am it settles into a good, quiet spot for a laptop and a long conversation with yourself.

How much seating is there?

Not a huge room, twelve seats inside and four more on the sidewalk when the weather's good. Come early on weekends.
